Battery storage an excellent way to store excess solar power, allowing you to utilize it during peak consumption times and preventing waste by sending it back to the grid. It can also charge from the grid during low-cost periods, or "off-peak" times, and discharge during "peak" times. For instance, electricity may cost 4p between 12:00 AM and 4:00 AM, allowing the battery to charge with that cheaper electricity, which can then be used later when the price rises to 17p, saving you money.
